Mission
Our program focuses on leadership and workforce development. Our scholars have access to a personalized program tailored to help them make strategic choices during their time at Southern Miss.

Membership Benefits
- Scholars receive a $2,000 annual scholarship
- Campus employment with the Office of Undergraduate Scholarships provided for work-study eligible scholars (will pay out up to the max amount
awarded in SOAR)
- Individualized career and financial coaching through mentorship
- Leadership opportunities provided to upperclassmen within the program

Members will be invited by the program Advisor after final selection.

Southern Style is a diverse group of student leaders selected to serve as the official ambassadors and Orientation leaders for the University of Southern Mississippi. Responsibilities include serving as hosts for University events, orientation leaders and supporting transition efforts through Orientation and Transition Programs.
